***Thread time***

Although Stu’s still officially on holiday, there’s been a ton of articles posted on WOS recently - happily coinciding with our first week on twitter - so we thought we’d do a wee review of them, and some other tweet numbers that caught our eye.

Abolishing women.
Posted as a ‘soft launch’ late on Friday night - contentious subject matter - we were delighted with our (38RT/50L)
& 224 link clicks from 484 engagements, which means that our intention of directing folk to WOS was happening!!

The fifth column revealed.
Surprise Saturday night post - created a fair amount of discussion - (53Rt/69L) 906 link clicks from 1300 engagements, we were delighted with this level of interaction especially as our account was brand new!

The power of presentation.
Sunday afternoon tweet about an article covering #coronavirus polling data, and folks’ perception of the Gov’s competency (whilst the 'debates' around the newly registered pro-indy list party were really heating up)

A timely revisit to the @jammach guest piece Flying with Wings proved a popular Sunday evening read - 290 folk clicked the link to the article on WOS for a read, from a total engagement of 639
(this article is one to bookmark - we're sure it'll be handy)

A discussion led us to tweet a link to the Stuart Campbell interview on the @alexsalmondshow - whether folk were rewatching, or catching it for the first time, 159 followed the link from just 240 engagements!!

The wee WOS promo by @phantompower14 was a well received addition to a quiet Monday afternoon
This appeal, to document those nasty gloaters, by @ianbhood went down very well for a Monday morning

The Scorpion and the frog.

The Tuesday article about the state of Scottish football hit it’s target quite precisely (shush, it’s all we've got on football) - 307 folk following the link to the WOS site from just 445 who engaged. That’s a decent ratio.
The Appearance of justice.

Wed, and our personal favourite of the week - a no punches pulled update on the ‘jigsaw identification’ contempt allegations - 434 link clicks from 717
(over 6000+ impressions - our tweets are being much more widely seen now)

The Thursday morning tweet by @drmoragkerr, of the @HolyroodDaily magazine piece on the virus response, went down very well and provoked some interesting discussion.

Our enemies amongst us.

This Thursday morning post which looks at the polling of SNP voters provoked some testy opinions.

First time we hit over 10000 impressions!!

The thread highlighting readers comments from Below The Line on WOS proved popular too

Always keep in touch with your friends.

Well now this was always going to be special to us, for obvious reasons - our 2 thread post sent over 700 folk directly to the WOS site and the number of impressions was 14000+

(Pretty pleased with ourselves)

Yesterday’s @kmckenna piece in the Herald was quite the topic of discussion (and we suspect its content will continue to be for some time)
This message to @Twittersupport by @GraceBrodie, about reinstating the @RevStu and @WingsScotland accounts, has been steadily getting likes and RT’s since Friday morning - we won’t stop asking @twitter about this, and we know we’ll not be the only ones!!

Blind pig finds truffle.

Today’s article inspired this review - we noticed the link click (327) to engagement (486) was already great though the tweet was just up.

Within a week folk know to come here to get twitter links to the latest on WOS - success!!
So thank you to all our wonderful old friends, and new, for welcoming us into the crazy world of Scottish political twitter and thanks for making this account a worthy addition to the resources of the grassroots :)

(had to retire the stylish arrows earlier due to space!)
