The House applied for expansion of the Eastern by-pass in May 2019
According to an environmental impact assessment report lodged with Nema, Northlands City will add 30K vehicles/day to the bypass, necessitating expansion.
The House will fly overhead.

In June 2019, an interchange was factored into the Eastern by-pass upgrade plans
The national highways agency has factored a key interchange that will connect the proposed Northlands City to the Eastern Bypass (with rural roads in Kiamathanduku TBD)

In December 2019, homes in Varsityville Estate, near the upcoming City-state were flooded due to walls put up by Northlands blocking the free flow of rain water

Northlands was supposed to unveil Nairobi Gate, an industrial park said to be the biggest industrial real-estate investment in Kenya’s history, in March 2020.
But Mungu wa Yakubu chose this period for renovations so the unveiling will have to wait.

"Land reserved for industries at Northlands has gone on sale at Sh40mn an acre with the developer injecting funds for infrastructure."
