The 11K-acre wet dream is located 25 km from the Nairobi city centre and is traversed by the recently completed Eastern bypass. Much of the land is currently used for livestock grazing and "wildlife" (well that's what they say...)

The House applied for expansion of the Eastern by-pass in May 2019
According to an environmental impact assessment report lodged with Nema, Northlands City will add 30K vehicles/day to the bypass, necessitating expansion.

Northlands was supposed to unveil Nairobi Gate, an industrial park said to be the biggest industrial real-estate investment in Kenya’s history, in March 2020.
But Mungu wa Yakubu chose this period for renovations so the unveiling will have to wait.
