While we're going, here's a sad truth: the journalism business is like every other business in America.

Corporations don't want to pay benefits and freelancing and contracting allows them to get around labor laws and lower costs.

The entire economy is broken. Period.

Deregulation and globalism completely altered our economy, starting with Reaganism. It is a top-down, employers-over-everyone system that isn't built to be fair or human but cruel, bloodless, and unstable.

We're watching it collapse and people need to understand it has to change

The American economy doesn't work. Period. That's it. That's the hard truth. It was built on a lie because Reaganomics was a complete and utter scam.

We're watching an inevitable implosion. Time to stop marveling at the flames and figure out how to change this thing.

It is just infuriating to watch supposedly talented people marvel at how the stock market is gaining as people suffer and wonder how it happens.

Here's how it happens: the economy excels when people suffer. That's how this thing is set up. It isn't magic. It's the blueprint.

There is no economic incentive for companies to hire more people or ensure they have good, enjoyable lives. They have no loyalty whatsoever.

The American economy is a cannibalization of the culture that has always been destined to implode. History shows us this. Wake up.

There are meetings being held, right now, in glass conference rooms, with overpaid executives spinning the pandemic as a "positive" because they can lay off workers and cut costs without taking a public relations hit.

That's all you need to know about this "economy."
