Congratulations to all of you on the occasion of this Day of Eid. May Allah bless you in every thing that comes to you. May He always give you glad tidings and an increase in good.

A few days ago we welcomed the month of Ramadan! And here we are today, giving it farewell and seeing it become part of the past. This is how time flies and how one's life quickly passes.

Those who won in this month have taken their profit share. Those who strived in worship have gained their rewards. I wonder! Who is the accepted one so that we can congratulate him, and who is the rejected one so that we can give him our condolences!

What a great loss that the losers have incurred! They have been deprived and veiled from their Lord. They lost out on great opportunities and the seasons of good. They did not gain anything but sorrow and regret.

Congratulations for reaching Eid Al-Fitr. Allah has written for you your rewards, erased your sins, forgave your wrong doings, raised your ranks, and pardoned your mistakes. So praise Allah and ask Him for acceptance and steadfastness.

Congratulations to all of you! You have preferred pleasing Allah to following your personal desires. You have done good and completed (your acts of worship). You have gained the greatest prize, by Allah's will.

Congratulations for fasting.

Congratulations for praying the night prayer.

Congratulations for giving in charity.

Today is the day of being good to others. Be good to others as Allah has shown good to you. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.

Today is the day of connecting [the ties of kin] and the day of affection.

Make yourselves accustomed to having pure hearts. Renew your relationships with love and harmony.

Allah indeed has chosen Islam for you, so do not die except as Muslims (submitting to Allah). Be keen on fulfilling the pillars and foundations of Islam.

Give everyone their due right. Get rid of the burdens that you are carrying. Return the trusts to their owners. Give the worker his wage before his sweat dries.

Fulfill your agreements and promises in terms of rights, transactions, and contracts. "And he who fulfills that which he has promised Allah - He will give him a great reward." [48:10]

So fulfill the commandments of Allah and avoid His prohibitions. Stay away from doubtful matters, correct your intentions, and renew amongst yourselves your relationships, your love, and your affection.

Fear Allah in secret and in public. Abide by the Quran and the Sunnah. Avoid indecent acts, whether apparent or hidden.

Allah has obligated the Muslims to give Zakat Al-Fitr. It is a purification for the one who fasted. It purifies him from indecent speech and actions. It is also a source of sustenance for the poor.

The role of the woman on Eid is like the role of the man. She contributes in spreading happiness, strengthening relationships with love, pardoning, forgiveness, reform, purifying feelings,

strengthening bonds, increasing love and strengthening the ties of kinship. She contributes in being good to the poor and the needy, giving charity to the weak and the handicapped, and doing acts of charity and good.
