The modern GOP & its acolytes have abandoned the messages of the Founding Fathers, those great men they invoke without having read their writings.

The Founders knew there were two elements to citizenship: Rights *and* responsibilities. GOPrs invoke "rights" to do whatever.../1
...they want - break the law, threaten the lives of fellow citizens, act without concern for the community as a whole. They have transformed the message of the Founders from one of a shared, compassionate community populated by free people to a nation of GOP "I want...GIMME!"../2
...they storm around armed to the teeth because governments are trying to protect the lives of members of their community whom the GOP openly urges to die or give up their freedoms. Why? For the "freedom" to get their hair cut or go to a restaurant. They don't care that.../3
...their selfishness - draped as a form of "liberty" that would appall the Founders - requires those who care about their fellow citizens to be further locked down, to take extra case to protect others. The "freedom" to stomp around, not to wear a mask - violating laws.../4
...designed to protect fellow citizens, has nothing to do with the America founded by our Founders. Just like a system of government with an executive that ignores the legislature has nothing to do with the dreams of the Founders.

Oh, yes, conservatives like Bill Barr.../5
...discuss "responsibilities" imposed by the Founders, but he never discusses it as a means of acting as a good citizen with care to the community. No, to him, "responsibilities" means not sticking your genitals anywhere he doesn't approve of, it means slamming families he..../6
...doesnt like, and somehow, it means every belief he has of his own based on his personal religion, but nothing else.

The "rights for me, without responsibilities" crowd belives its fine that children are mowed down in school because to have universal background checks..../7
...somehow violates their "rights" by making them wait a couple of days so that members of their community are safer. It means the "right" to stomp around in Costco without a mask, refusing to maintain social distance, to "pwn the libs" who just happen to their fellow.../8
...citizens, the people they are supposed to care for as part of their community, the people they scream should have targets on their backs or are scum because they want to include "responsibilities" to "rights" - just like the Founders wanted.

Make no mistake: Those who.../9
...invoke their "rights" to endanger others, their "right" to break the law, their "right" to create fear, are the Founders nightmare - the self-centered, selfish, and ignorant. They want their "gimme gimme" rights, but throw aside their responsibilities to the community..../10
...theyre ignorant of the meaning of America. They're contemptuous of the country the Founders formed.

If they heard Madison or Jefferson speak, theyd waive a gun, spit on them, & scream about their rights as they abandon their responsibilities to the community, to us all.
