Dear @instagram — there are a number of of profiles pretending to be me and actively trying to scam people out of crypto. I regularly report these, but this strategy isn't really scalable and many of them still persist...a few thoughts on how to solve this: 
1/ These fake profiles use my exact name and bio (or some minor variation thereof). Text analysis could programmatically identify matches (or near matches) and throw a flag.
2/ These fake profiles use my identical profile photo as well as many of my shared photos. Image analysis could programmatically identify matches and throw a flag.
3/ Identifying the source of truth is perhaps hardest part, but not w/r/t to verified profiles (which is the case here). For unverified, could compare age of profiles and pattern of behavior to determine which is being built organically. The older the better.
4/ Initial investigation of flags may require manual determination, however, once the real profile is established, if it has a history of being impersonated, it should be deemed "high risk."
5/ New profiles that match existing high risk profiles should be automatically suspended until a determination can be made. This puts the onus on the copy cat to prove that they are real — not the verified profile to actively report and wait for a determination.
6/ Not surprisingly, @tylerwinklevoss is experiencing the same issues and would also benefit from the approach outlined above. Thanks!
