I'll never forget the idiots in management at my old work mansplaining to me that Facebook would never do the things I was accusing it of doing, so we didn't need to pull out of the partnership. I was fired just a few months after that, just before FB paid them at least $406k.
Before that, I was committed to never taking any pay from them. We were partners, not the fucking help.
If you look at their disclosures page, you can also see a $100k payment from 2017, which means either the owner took money behind my back and didn't tell me, or he was retroactively paid. Or both!
It's always nice to know your true worth to a company.
