Worth going back to the start of the Edinburgh outbreak story. The First Minister was very clear that she chose not to tell the public about the outbreak at a Nike conference because all contact tracing was done. Two weeks later, what do we know? 1/
We know that tour guides hired by the conference were not contacted. 2/
We know that a group of 20 delegates who were at the same hotel at the same time. They shared coffee and lunch facilities with the Nike delegates. They were not contacted. 3/
We know that employees at the hotel were not told about the outbreak. 4/
We know that a woman who fitted ten people at the conference for kilts, who became ill, was not contacted. She travelled to the highlands and overseas. 5/
We know that workers who shared an office with Nike in Glasgow and became ill were not told. 6/ edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/politics/…
We know that while Nike was deep cleaning it’s stores, those working in the same shopping centres were not told. 7/
In fact it’s hard to see how the FM could have made her claim at all given... 8/
And why does this matter? Here’s one of the people who came into contact with the Nike conference. She surely had a right to be told by Ministers who had a responsibility to let us all know. 9/
