Thread: The backlash of social media on our family values
Social media has exposed the rot in our family values and the deviation from the path of our Islamic identity.
If this is how our men and women both old and young think today in terms of materialism and social life alien to Islamic culture, what type of children do you think they will raise?
Paraphrasing what someone said amazingly. What the Prophet SAW called Gherrah (protective jeolousy over our women by not wanting every Tom, Dick and Harry to see them let alone mingle with them) is what the woke Muslims of today are calling insecurity on the part of the husband.
Parents are playing a big role in allowing their sons and daughters live a life opposite of what a Muslim should be.
All these things will come back to hunt us negatively in the near future if we do not wake up now to have a drastic ethical reorientation.
The pride of a Muslim is not in how much English he can speak nor in how much of those culture he feels superior to his he can copy and imitate. His worth is in how much of those alien culture he can abandon in order to embrace the whole of Islamic culture.
We have serious work to do. Otherwise whatever we know of today in terms of religious rituals, Qur'an and Sunnah and how excellent the early Muslims were, will be a fairy tale to the next generation as it has already started manifesting in these era.
We must lay emphasis on the purpose of being on the face of earth and only by that will we be able to understand how insignificant this world is. Turanci shi zai kai mu Ya baro mu in ba mu farka ba.
