Disabled children are also overrepresented in the foster care system, and much more likely to be abused. The disability community needs to pay more attention to issues around child welfare, foster care, and adoption. These are our kids. (2/3)
"Rehoming" is despicable, but it also isn't new--especially in international adoption, especially with disabled kids of color. This has been going on for a long time. These are our kids. We owe it to them to care about this broadly. (3/3)
