I hope journalists are looking into these videos of masked white "protestors" inexplicably destroying property + walking away w/o comment while protestors of color ask them why they're doing that and urge them to stop. You'd be forgiven for wondering if they're undercover cops.
Take this for example. The AutoZone incident? This white guy walks up, destroys windows while protestors try to stop him, and walks away. He refuses to answer questions and threatens to fight those who get too close:
Here's another video worth watching (h/t @StarForceHQ1): guy with camera sees protestor get out of a truck that seems like one cops would use. Asks him who he's with. He says CNN. So, camera guy goes to the truck. Check out the convo.

There are a lot of folks in media who are the beneficiaries of a privileged upbringing and have never had that challenged and it shows. From race to gender to LGBTQ to disability to religion to poverty and so on, you can tell the outlets who are sorely in need of diversity.
And I hate saying that because lord knows our free press needs all the support it can get under this White House, but there are communities clearly being left behind in reporting, and I don't think we need to be quiet about that. If you want us to support you, be there for us.
The fact that even now there are mainstream outlets publishing the deadnames of trans people who have died kinda says it all. It pisses me off. A little effort goes a long way. It's 2020, y'all. You're supposed to be a journalist. Make a goddamn effort.
