2/n They are also more likely to want to help victims of immoral acts than victims of accidents and non-victims (because they perceive the reputational gains to be greater)
3/n The authors' theory ('Justice Restoration Hypothesis') is that attributions of greater morality to victims of immoral acts serves the adaptive function of motivating punishment against the perpretrators
