NDTV reported a fictitious story saying that an Indian army jawan had been detained by China who was later released citing some sources which was later called a bogus news by Indian Army. If you look at the surface, it appears that it was a fake news but if you
understand subversion you'll realize that it's the part of psychological warfare. As Yuri Bezmenov says, "Subversion is not about blowing up bridges but destroying a country by destroying its systems such as religion, tradition, legal system, information system etc." One of the
basic aspects of Psychological warfare is running the well orchestrated disinformation campaign which appears random without having any deeper meaning. Indeed, NDTV merely reported a story which was based on incorrect information given by the source for the public consumption.
