Instead of investigating Falcon Heights City Council members who admitted on the record in 2016 to knowing about police racial profiling before Philando Castile was murdered, the City Council is addressing a more pressing concern: banning veggie gardens.

We are in a pathetic state in America when it's easier to get a city council to pass an enforceable veggie garden ban than a police brutality ban.

I am the first one to blame @realDonaldTrump and the GOP, as well as the right wing. But Falcon Heights is a City run mostly by upper middle class white liberals. Minneapolis is more diverse but still run largely by white liberals. Lots of politically correct talk. No action.

This violence against peaceful protestors and reporters took place outside St. John's Church.
@realDonaldTrump then went over to the Church for a photo op holding a Bible and celebrating the violence.
Disgusting.
Why is the policeman attacking the camera man?
Why is the policeman hitting the young woman on the back with a stick as she runs away?
Why is our president encouraging this mindless violence?
@realDonaldTrump is a disgrace.
The police officer hit the camera man and grabbed the TV camera to destroy it.
Why?
Because for defenders of democracy a camera is the most potent weapon of all.

Prosecuting the officers for murder/manslaughter is important, but the Minnesota AG also needs to bring in for questioning political leaders, including city council members, to find out what they knew about racial profiling. Two cities:
Falcon Heights 2016
Minneapolis 2020
We already went through this drill.
City Council members knew about racial profiling by police, but did not ask questions and demand answers.

This is about the politicians as well as the police.
All of the city council members and other politicians who knew about racial profiling and other abuses by police but did not ask questions and demand answers need to be held to account.
It's time to name names.
