40 million unemployed Americans. Months of isolation after a botched pandemic response. A hated president who actively antagonizes hurt and angry people who just watched another black man murdered by police. America is a powder keg with an arsonist in the White House.
Peace has to be a pathway to progress. If peaceful, non-violent protest continues to lead to nowhere, I fear we will see more violence.

Cities need to show frustrated Americans that police will be held accountable when they murder. People are sick and tired of this shit.
If you want peace, work for justice.
Human Lives > Private Property
People not only have a RIGHT to protest, we as Americans have a DUTY to be outraged by the injustice we have seen and DEMAND change and accountability.

The government’s duty is not to CONTROL us, but to LISTEN to us and HEED our calls for change.
Dr. Martin Luther King’s words of peace and non-violence are not just meant for protestors, but also for mayors, police chiefs and officers, national guardsmen, governors, and presidents too.

If you believe violence is not the answer, exemplify that in your official responses.
Rage is a blunt and imprecise weapon. Leaders should actively work to avoid its use. Mayors, police chiefs, and governors should always work to show a pathway to progress through peace. If the path continues to lead to a dead end, destruction follows.
“Violence will not be tolerated” is actually the message of the protests. In 2014 and 2020.

Unchecked violence by the state against black people will not be tolerated. Governors, mayors and police chiefs shouldn’t answer this demand with more violence.
