Diff in LAC perception exists in all sects-Ladhak, HP, Sikkim & Arunachal. But why incidents of intrusions in Ladakh and Sikkim are happening regularly of late but not in other sects? Read this thread to know possible reasons for Chinese desperation in Ladakh sect
It would be interesting to note that in 50s an attempt to resolve border was made. Maps of least disputed central sect, followed by western & thereafter most disputed eastern sect were to be exch in phases. Middle sect posed no problem.
But Chinese were surprised to see India's claim on Aksai Chin when maps of western sect were handed over to them. The delegation returned the maps to indians and left without saying a word . Maps of east were never exchanged. Exch of map thereafter didn't happen
Skirmishes used to take place in Sumdrong chu, Namka Chu & Yangtse (Tawang dist) & other imp places of Asaphila & Longju in AP frequently. The pattern however changed post raising of mtn strike corps. The IA is in complete control of Tawang, pol most imp town on LAC.
The troop density in Arunachal, duly supported by modern ac & msls, is fairly high. Any attempt by china to change the status quo here will be met with a swift & violent indian reaction. PLA could only incr surveillance by patrols, UAV & strengthened their air def in the area
Chinese feel Ladakh should not go the same way as Tawang. To strengthen their hold of the area they have to impede india's ongoing infrastructure devp projects. Chinese had developed their infra in the area when india was busy fighting the kargil war imposed by Pak in 1999.
India is now on the verge of completing Zozila & Rohtang tunnels. This would ensure all weather connectivity of Leh with rest of India & speedy induction of addl troops, mech forces & long range artillery. It would be a game changer & therefore contested by the PLA desperately.
Improvement of mobility of forces in the sect enhances our war waging capability & poses a serious challenge to Chinese status of being a regional & future world power.

Very funny incidents happen on lac. When PLA patrol ldr is stopped to cross our line of perceived LAC to go to his Line of perceived LAC he begs us to let him go. His bosses monitor his loc on GPS & if he doesn't touch the pt he has to try again to sneak in again undetected by IA
