Thanks to the MP for Newmarket who has taken £100k off the racing industry in last year, horse racing will resume on Monday. Thanks to this tweet, I now want to know EVERYTHING about how decision made to let Cheltenham go ahead
I want to know how Dido, ex-director of Cheltenham now of Jockey Club Harding is in charge of track & trace. I want to know what the urgency was for horse racing - horse racing! - of all things to resume on Monday.
Of everything that happened in excruciating slow motion in w/c March 12, decision to let mass events go ahead that seemed most batshit insane. And the reasons given were preposterous

NEW: The govt just published a load of minutes from SAGE meetings up till May 7. This is good news! We desperately need more openness & transparency. But it also raises a lot of questions...

Pretty extraordinary that Ben Warner is listed as a member of SAGE in the original documents. This is Dom's pal who worked on Vote Leave, then Dec general election, then got a job at number 10 & have I left out the bit where his brother scored a £250m contract with NHS data?

Today marks another pivotal day in this crisis. We’ve been here before. That sinking dread. The certain knowledge that the govt is fucking up in real time. That it will not be told. That people will die as a result. Mark the date. Because this day will come back to haunt us
May 28: the day govt loosened lockdown & launched track & trace. And the day police said Cummings in breach of law...& Johnson did nothing. The second wave starts here. You can’t ask for civic duty & compliance while doing neither. It’s so basic. And we all know it.
Re-reading wondering if I was over the top. But it feels so similar to that week in March when we saw those mass events carrying on & the govt ignored WHO & carried on regardless. There are moments when decisive action could make a difference. And this week was another of those
