Big row brewing over forcing MPs to vote in person.

As many as 250 MPs might stay away for health/age/travel/childcare reasons. So if you live in their seat, you don't get a say.

And practicalities of voting while social distancing are *crazy* 1/4

Even with around 400 MPs, socially distancing along corridors and up stairs, the queue could stretch for a kilometre

There is a "rehearsal" this morning at 11am in the chamber.

However one parliament source texts: "Perhaps we should change the route to go through Mogg's office - may have the benefit of making him see how ridiculous his system is.”

Cross-party anger at the idea of forcing MPs back, some having to declare private health info to explain absence.

Effectively discriminating against older/unwell workers.

If an employer was doing this, MPs would be furious.
