Interesting thread. Here's why I think something similar can happen:

Altseasons happen because "new money" comes in. If it comes, why would anything be different? Think most people have this bias because they already learned from their mistakes of bagholding for years
Some came in in 2017-18. For those who were new at the time, how dumb were you? Anyone were in mad paper profits. But now you know better.

New people don't. It's exactly the same behavior and why we have cycles. Same thing happening. Same concept, different context.
From new people's POV:
- ignorance will still be there
- greed is still there
- inability to take profit will still be there

Nothing changed with the exception of past "generation" now being smarter comparing with whoever comes next
All you need is new, dumber players to come in. It's not something pretty to say but it's how it works. We've all been there. We all have to learn eventually.

As long as new players come in we will pump again. Why? That's exactly the reason why they're joining in
They come to FOMO. They will FOMO.

You might say, "oh but thing are way harder to pump now because of higher valuations"

Well, I say each wave brings more people and there's more infrastructure now. 50x leverage shitcoins, credit cards and more media exposure.
Like mentioned at the top:

- same concept (ignorance, greed, fomo, cycles)
- different context (new narratives, more mature market but more tools to get new players easily rekt)

That's why it keeps repeating.
People say it's harder to pump but it has always been like that. At each wave, new people come, higher valuations achieved.

2017 was the same compared with past years.
In the future, just as long as new dumber players (masses) come in, it'll happen just the same.
We just have a hard time grasping exponential growth and most are now conditioned to think it won't happen because they see it from their OWN point of view.

Noobs don't know what you learned from 3 years of bagholding and they have money to spend.
Try explaining risk management to any of your normie friends in 2015, 2017 and now. Reaction will always be the same. FOMO.

It's inherently human, hasn't change. Won't change. As long as crypto lives and trades, it will pump and dump. It's cycles.
Some might be so conditioned because of what they learned, holding bags for 3 years or because they're now out of the loop and can't keep up with the newest trends and narratives.

Guess what? That's also part of the cycle and why there's always someone capitulating at the bottom
If you identify, might be a chance to, not necessarily change your mind, but to reflect.

Again, that's inherently human. Same way newbies will FOMO, older market participants will fall in depression and disbelief. That's the whole reason why markets cycle
You think people got smarter? How, if they didn't go through what you did? If they didn' have a chance to learn? You did, but they still won't listen and will do the exact same mistakes you did when you came in. They are no different.

Just a matter of perception here.
Just as long as this keeps trading, there will always be a narrative to be pushed and attract new money. That takes time and is what shakes most people out, otherwise it wouldn't pump again.

Many said the same about equities for 100 years. You're no different.
We're all part of these cycles. It's just a matter of knowing where you are _and_ others. If you sit at different spaces you can't see through the same lens.
If you can perceive there exists other people that aren't even aware of you (because they're new and ignorante), you're already on a different place and see things differently.

However the way newbies look at things hasn't changed. Never has. Never will.
