Here is how these smears often go - they will follow up with multiple pieces, they will find anonymous sources & former colleagues who worked with me and witnessed me supposedly being a horrible person, they will question all my work, my integrity my relationships.
They will try to discredit 16 years of work as an award-winning journalist at 60 Minutes and years as the Chief Foreign Correspodent and Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent at CBS and take away more than 35 years of hard, honest work.
They will ignore multiple Emmy’s, the DuPont Colombia University Silver Baton - which is regarded by many as the highest award for television news, the Murrow awards, the Daniel Pearl Award & all the others as they go after me because they do not want journalists like me to exist
Don’t be surprised if many other reporters pile on too - they will not miss an opportunity to suppress the truth. But nobody owns me - I don’t work for any of them. I work for the principles we all believe in that are bigger than these horrible people.
