Democrats don't appear to be spooked by Trump's "law and order" bluster.

Why not?

I spoke to @owasow, the political scientist whose research on 1968 everyone is citing.

He sees numerous reasons to *doubt* parallels to the present. Fascinating stuff:

What if voters don't reflexively equate Trump's violence towards peaceful protests and nonstop incitement of white backlash and racial hatred with either "strength" or "order"?
