I absolutely hate when he’s in that place. A confident, surging Trump is aggressive and proactive. He pushes ahead on more and worse.
Now, a mere 12 hours later, he’s up past his bedtime trying to talk people out of criticism.

He’s trying to get out from under people looking at him badly.
That slows him down, stunts his confidence.
He went from a high to coming down in a few hours. That’s wounding.
He felt invulnerable this morning. He’s tumbling now.
