Pakistani nation stood as silent spectators when PM ZABhutto was executed.Even the then judges now acknowledge it as a judicial murder).We are a perpetually muted 220 million
Its a pity,indeed,that a Project of a gigantic potential such as the Pakistan Steel Mills(PSM) has been brought to a closure after it had been ravaged thoroughly over the decades.The then PM Z.A.Bhutto did Pakistan colossal good by making PSM possible.We ruined it over the years
However much people rant about the past rulers the present PTI Govt of PM Imran Khan will carry a great burden for closing the Pakistan Steel Mills. Closing a gigantic venture is an abject surrender;anyone can do that.THE REAL CHALLENGE WAS TO RESSURECT THE PAKISTAN STEEL MILLS

Even if we work it downwards by another half to 2.5% of Pakistan’s population being infected we still have 55 lac positively infected unknown people walking around the villages and cities. It isn’t difficult to imagine their potential to spread the virus to tens of millions more
Since we don’t have the ability to pinpoint all the 55 million unidentified potentially infected people Pakistan’s ONLY option is to contain them and prevent a proliferation of the virus.The difficult decision of a complete lockdown MUST,therefore,be taken.

My mind goes back to the night of 5/6th Aug 1990.Pakistan’s streets were peaceful; there was calm all over.Yet,I had to wake up Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto(SMBB) at 3am to tell her that the then President Ghulam Ishaq Khan was to dismiss her Govt at 5pm next day which he did
The dismissal of SMBB’s Govt was announced by the President using his infamous powers under the now defunct Article 58(2)(b).My mind also goes back to the night of 5/6 Nov 1996 when SMBB’s second Govt was brought crashing down for no real reason. Just that ‘she has to go’
This time too it was that infamous Article 58)2)(b) applied by the then President Farooq Leghari. With all that happening I had actually seen the formation of two Constitutionally elected Govts of SMBB and how each day they struggled for their survival but eventually fell

Why should back door diplomacy take so long to initiate and make a Pakistan/India PMs meeting possible? Why should PMs of two powerful neighboring countries be so wary of the two (Pak & Indian) most cacophonic media in the world as depicted in this link?

To solve issues like Kashmir both PMs need not be apologetic and must speak openly about their respective country’s stances in joint conferences held after frequent and publicized meetings.There is no secret at all.Delhi and Islamabad are just short flights away for modern jets
A series of direct meetings between the PMs of Pakistan and India arranged by their relevant staff at short notices aimed at genuinely solving Kashmir and other smaller disputes will bring relief to the Kashmiris and the whole of South Asia. The two PMs should try doing this
