@AdrianHarrop 1/ Doctor, the NHS website teams addressed #NHSGenderID meetings (RIP), seeking feedback, & I talked & emailed with them. I believe Mermaids did too. It became clear that they could only describe what NHSEngland provides, & pretty much only in terms the monopoly provider uses.
@AdrianHarrop 2/ …Or perhaps even what they (GIDS) approve. As you know, GIDS sees itself as the victim of buffeting between "extreme & powerful" advocates for affirmation & "reasonable concerns", especially since it was dragged to at last become the last such clinic to provide agonists…
@AdrianHarrop 3/…in 2015, after having lied to patients for 20yrs that they might get them, when their contract with their endocrine service provider explicitly banned any help until puberty was completed. That pressure was actually from their peer clinics. The portrayal of lack of…
@AdrianHarrop 4/…evidence, of trans minors as likely to "desist", pf psychotherapy as always needed, of affirmation by medics as only appropriate after 16, is what GIDS has been saying since it was founded (well, except it was no affirmation until 18+ initially, even when the SOC said 16).
@AdrianHarrop 5/…They always ignored the evidence, even now their own experience that adolescents diagnosed as needing agonists using the same battery of tools their peer clinics use at Tanner2 never desist. And they, as NHSEngland's exclusive experts, push those lies to their NHS peers…

@AdrianHarrop 7/…in the 90s (probably because the college now requires patients' input) that require monopoly provision & experience of completed puberty.

You will notice that the accompanying video, which has been there for years, has a transitioned woman only talking about knowing at 16.
@AdrianHarrop 8/…So I suspect only changing the NHSEngland provider will bring unbiased NHS website "advice" on #GenderIncongruity in minors. And GIDS have ensured there is no provider available to replace them.
