To summarize the current problems with our public health and econ strategy....
1. we are relaxing lockdown too early, with no clear connection between that and the capacity of test /trace/isolate to substitute for it.
2. we are manipulating statistics on testing to inflate the apparent ability of the system to deal with the virus.
3. the phasing out of government support measures is not connected with and conditional on progress on the public health strategy.
4. the govt endangers compliance with its lockdown policy by failing to require the resignation of those it employs who don't abide by it.
5. the public health battle, and the stability of the economy needed to help wage it, is put in jeapordy by our bad faith negotiations with the EU over Brexit, and likely trajectory into No Deal end of transition.
6. the govt has forced an unnecessary return to face to face work in Parliament, undermining the example it should set for other white collar occupations able to function using remote working, and breaching social distancing.
