We didn't speak and just sat there. Feeling the breeze and being comfortable with each other's presence. A few seconds or maybe minutes went by when he spoke, "Hey, the sun is setting."

I turned to him, "Not yet... please."

I woke up when the sun hit my face. I stirred to the left and felt an empty space. I jolted up and looked around, it was empty. Agad tuloy akong napatayo pero bago pa ko makalabas ng kwarto.

“Gising ka na pala.” a guy said as he walked inside my room. Image
• 02

He wore a white shirt and jeans as he sported his usual messy hair and grin, that only I can see. He would never let anyone know his true colors or even his emotions. Silence is his solitude and alone protects him. He was only naked when he is around me, or so he says. Image
• 03

“Took you long to wake up. Been staying late again are you?” he remarked before casually walking around my room. He picked up my towel and threw it over my head.

“Better get ready, we’ll be doing a lot today.” He said with a wide grin, I didn’t speak a word. ImageImage

I quickly washed and readied myself. It was 11 in the morning. I'm late, but he was here early, damn.

After slipping in a simple shirt, jeans and a pair of chucks. I went out of my room, not even bothering to comb my bird's nest-like wet hair. Image

He was sitting down at the sofa with a book in hand.

I stared at him; the way his eyes slightly move while reading, the way he turned the next page with his pinky facing straight, the way his breathing changes with each word he reads,

Just the way he was being himself. Image
• 06

Maybe he noticed that I was staring, or maybe because he knew that I was there in the first place but I saw how his lips curled up into a smile. Tangina, he’s being full of himself.

He lifted his face with a smug look, “Oh, you’re ready?”

I rolled my eyes, the audacity. Image

I walked out, picking up my bag along the way. I heard his laugh as he followed me,

I walked faster, but of course this dude has freaking long legs. How can my choco choco legs beat his stick-o legs?

After a few moments, I felt his dangly arms around my shoulder. ImageImage
• 08

“Yeye is being grumpy today" he laughed w/c in turn earned him a smack in the stomach that made him grunt. Ha ha, take that.

“You know that I was just kidding around, right?” I just stared at him before walking again.

He followed with a grin still plastered on his face. Image

I opened the door of my car and sat at the driver’s seat. While he occupied the shot gun.

I am the assigned driver for all the trips because this guy just didn’t know how to. Well, he knows but chose not to. Either he’s too tired or -- Image
• 10

“I love how you’re so serious when driving, you’re just so concentrated and it’s cute.”

‘Di ako kinilig don. ImageImage
• 11

“San ba tayo pupunta?” I asked while I put my bag at the back. Nagulat ako nung pag upo ko, inabot nya yung seat belt at sya ang nagkabit.

His face was just a few inches away from mine. I could feel his breathing and I can smell his baby scent. Shit, ang bango nya talaga. Image

"Let’s go get brunch.”

I was trying so hard to stop myself from hugging the life out of him. I just missed him so bad.

It’s been a while since we last saw each other. He was too busy with his life and so was I. But this day was an exemption, it had to be free. ImageImage
• 13

We ate brunch at burgoo. He was pigging out real good, and I couldn’t help but stare at his cheeks full of burger.

What did I find attractive about him again?

“Hey, kumain ka.” he was still munching onto something when he spoke. I sighed, ang kalat tuloy ng ketchup. Image
• 14

I picked up a napkin and wiped the ketchup off his face. He didn't stop eating neither did he stopped me from what I'm doing so I continued. It gave me the chance to stare longer and it hit me.

Ah, I know. Image
• 15

I love his voice, how it's so deep and felt comfortable when he says my name.

I love his eyes, how it can say a lot of things that words struggle to describe and it shines.

His straightforward personality, when he says what he wants in the right situations. Shit. Image
• 16

We finished brunch at around two, yeah, it took that long because this dude had to go and take a dump!

Ghad, I’m questioning myself again. Just why?

HOW CAN A GUY ATE A TON JUST TO DUMP IT OUT RIGHT AFTER EATING?! Jeez. Image
• 17

He was laughing his ass off while I was so embarrassed, I literally put my head down until we got out.

Why is he so jolly today? Usually, he’d stick with his calm demeanor and very few sweet acts. Now, he laughs so much and he’s teasing me more. What the hell? Image
• 18

I decided where we’d head to next, so I chose MOA. It’s huge and there are a whole lot of places to walk or go to. Perfect location to waste time at.

We walked around and checked out some of the make up there. He helped me find the perfect lipstick for me.

"Pink! Pink!"
• 19

I made him try a ton of shades and we’d look at the mirror if it would fit me. I laughed when he pursed his lips, DAMN HE LOOKED SO GAY.

We still had more to try but sales lady was giving us weird looks so we ran out of the shop, laughing. Image
• 20

Mark pulled me towards the department store, he says that he wants to buy clothes. He needed new ones because I keep on stealing his daw. Umirap ako.

We were looking around when I saw this cute rose quartz hoodie, I legit fell in love with it.

“But it looks so feminine!” Image
• 21

Mark retaliated as I pushed him towards the fitting room “I’ll look gay!” he shouted.

I stared at him flatly, “You’re already gay” I said before kicking him in.

It didn’t take him long to change and he was posing like a VS model when he came out. I shook my head. Image
• 22

“We’re buying that, and you’re gonna wear it throughout the day.”

‘Di na sya naka-angal pa when he saw me paying for the hoodie. He just crossed hir arms and pouted like a child.

Little did he know that I bought one like it myself hehe. ImageImage
• 23

It was almost six when I stopped walking and pulled his hand. He turned to me with a questioning look.

We were at the part of MOA where you could see the sky, dun sa may harap ng fully booked. I looked at the sky and saw that light was slowly fading.

Is it almost time? Image
• 24

“Hey, is something wrong?” he asked before leaning towards me.

I shook my head and smiled, “Wala, gusto kong umupo.”

Nagpalingon lingon sya and when he saw a vacant sit sa may puno, hinila nya ko papunta don.

Pero pinigilan ko sya “Ayoko rito, gusto ko sa may seaside.” Image
• 24

He just stared at me for a while but then he smiled. The same sweet smile I fell for.

“Sure.” Image
• 25

We walked to the seaside, they were a lot of people there so I pulled him towards the place where there are less. Dun sa may bandang dulo.

Iilan na lang ang nandon, mga isa o dalawa. When we found the perfect seat, I quickly jumped towards it. He followed with a chuckle. Image
• 26

We sat side by side. The sound of waves crashing to the rocks was a beautiful melody. Even the blow of the wind was like a hum.

We didn’t speak and just sat there, feeling the breeze. Seconds or maybe minutes passed when he spoke, “The sun is setting."

I turned to him. Image
• 26

“Wag naman, ayaw ko pa.”

He shifted his eyes to me, and I saw how it glistened.

Mark turned his whole body towards me and he lifted his hands until it reached my cheeks, softly caressing it.

“Why are you crying?” Image
• 27

Was I? I didn’t even notice that my tears were racing one after the other. My eyes stayed glued at him.

“Don’t cry" he whispered & gently wiped my tears “I won’t leave.”

A bitter smile curved on my lips & I closed my eyes. I covered my face w/ my hands when I felt a pang Image
• 28

“Hey…” he was about to say something more but I cut him off.

“But you already did.”

I removed my hands from my face and stared into his eyes again. How I missed those orbs.

I lifted my hands slowly until I felt my fingertips touching his cheeks. Carefully touching it. Image
• 29

I miss the way he talks, I miss the way he smiles, I miss the way his lips purse, I miss the way he says my name, I miss his scent, I miss his hugs, I miss him being this close to me, I--

He held my hand and as soon as our skin made contact, a tear escaped from his eyes. Image
•30

“I regret not telling you how much I love you. I regret so many things that I lost count of it.” I whispered in a broken voice as Mark stared straight into my eyes.

“If, and only if, I could get the chance to see you again, I wanted to do and say a lot of things.” Image
• 31

“I never even imagine that I'll fall for you,” we laughed as the tears kept on rushing out of our eyes, “And I actually can’t imagine falling for anyone else but you, fuck it sounds so cheesy.”

I lifted my other hand, cupping his face. “I miss you, Mark. So damn much.” Image
• 32

He held my hands and pulled it away from his face and rested it on his thighs.

“You don’t need to regret anything.” He started,

The sun was fading.

“Every second I spent with you gave me so much joy and happiness. It is one that I would forever treasure.”

It's dimming Image
• 33

He lifted my hands and kissed it. He looked back into my eyes and smiled, “’Til we meet again, Yeye.”

The sun disappeared and everything was slowly becoming dark. I couldn’t see nor could I hear anything. Everything was black.

I was about to shout when…

“I love you.” Image
• 34

I opened my eyes. The sun was hitting my face and I stirred to the left, an empty space.

I sat up, Déjà Vu?

Tumayo ako mula sa kama and I heard something fell, a picture frame. I went to pick it up and saw that it was a picture of Mark and I back in highschool.

Oh. Image
• 35

I opened my phone and saw the first notif, it’s today huh.

“You jerk, you didn’t have to visit me in my dreams just to make me remember this day. Naka note saken yon, oy.” I said as I poke his face in the picture before placing it back at the bedside table.

It's today. Image
• 36

I crouched down before speaking again,

“I’ll be visiting you today, don’t worry. Namiss mo ko masyado e.” I wiped a dust off the frame. I imagine him giving me a cheeky grin while shouting 'Bilisan mo na kase!'

I smiled, “Happy birthday, Mark. I miss you.” ImageImage
