In case you're wondering why Bernie Sanders is mainly tweeting about the economy and has a hard time saying "black lives matter," I present you with his long love affair with police unions.
Sanders usually leaves this out of his stump speech, but as mayor he was gung-ho about police receiving riot training in order to deal with *checks notes* college students
In fact, if it were not for the police union endorsement, Sanders might not have won the office of mayor in the first place.
Indeed, Bernard Sanders ran on a LAW AND ORDER platform the first time he ran for mayor, deeply disturbed by damage to capitalists' property.
"The leniency with which city officials treated spring fling vandalism was made a campaign issue by Sanders, who called the city's failure to make students comply with the law a 'slap in the face' to law-abiding residents."
In fact Bernard Sanders won on a platform of INCREASING police confrontation and doing away with the de-escalation methods previously used.

So next time Bernie-ites claim "[not-Sanders] is a cop," or claim that Starbucks graffiti is good, remind them who he is. /fin
