Disabled, Palestinian men murdered by israeli police, a thread:
Eyad Hallaq, 32, was from Jerusalem and had autism. Last week on his way to special needs school, israeli police shot him in the leg with an M16. He ran and collapsed in a garbage shed. His teacher tried pleading to them that Eyad is disabled, as he bled out for several minutes.
The border police didn’t care. Instead, they fired three more rounds into Eyad’s chest, executing him at point blank range. Shin Bet security agents then raided his family’s house- as if he were some kind of terrorist- for the crime of being Palestinian and autistic.
Mohammad Habali, 22, was from Tulkarm and mentally disabled. For no reason, Israeli soldiers shot him in the back of the head as he walked down a quiet street. They left him on the floor without any medical assistance and walked away. The event was caught by a security camera.
Arif Jaradat, 22, from Hebron, suffered from Down’s Syndrome. He was shot by israeli soldiers in the abdomen. He died a month later in hospital after succumbing to his wounds. IDF soldiers then raided his brother Hiran’s house for posting about it on Facebook.
These young men never hurt anyone. They suffered from disabilities and were loved dearly by their families. Israel claims to be a democracy yet constantly murders Palestinians, even the most vulnerable, on occupied land. No police or IDF have ever been charged for these killings.
“The Border Police are no less brutal or racist than the police in the United States. There, they shoot black people, whose blood is cheap, and in Israel they shoot Palestinians, whose blood is even cheaper.”
