The question: I understand that we can do istighatha by the prophet. Some will ask istighatha from distance from the Awliyyah like Sheikh Jilani. I am aware and have seen proof that the dead can hear, but even though I don't reject it, I've never seen anything about the dead -1
being able to hear from a distance and people have told me this is shirk. Is this something we know from hadith or is something we can understand from other than it? I have always been confused by this point. -2
I'm sorry if the question has been asked many times before or if my question isn't clear or if it is not relevant -3

Ilm ul Ghayb, Knowledge of the Tablet and the Pen, Knowledge of the Five Keys, Knowledge of Ma Kana wa Ma Yakun/Kaain through the writings of Sunni Scholars of the Past:
Imam Al Baghawi quotes the opinion of a scholar in تفسير البغوي who says regarding the verse, 'خلق الإنسان', that this verse refers to the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم:
Under the verse, 'علمه الييان', which translates to, 'He (Allah) taught Him (the Prophet) Bayaan', the scholar says the word 'الييان' refers to the knowledge of 'ما كان و ما يكون', the knowledge of the first and the last and the knowledge of the day of judgement.
Focal Point of Refuge, Remover of Afflictions by Shaykh Muhammad bin Alawi:
From this book:
On this topic, Shaykh Ahmed Rida Khan wrote this book in defense of Durood e Taj(has similar wording of the above)and a refutation of the Wahabiyya with countless evidences: drive.google.com/file/d/161xdJM…
Istigatha Thread:
Istigatha is a fiqh issue, not iman and kufr, no sunni scholar says its shirk, however sunnis differ on whether its haram or halal, and there is scholarly discussion on the wording used when doing istigatha.
