Beliefs are initially formed in ignorance. We don't know the whole picture when we start forming opinions on things.
Learning changes your beliefs.
It gives you control by preventing you from acting as a victim of ignorance.
We all act rationally in that we act based on our beliefs and what we we've learned up to that moment.
Since learning affects our beliefs, it affects our actions.
This is why learning in public is (on some level) terrifying.
You are putting those ignorant beliefs on display for all the world to see (and judge) as you work to educate yourself.
Hence...the learning.
Admitting we're ignorant publicly is difficult. Especially when we suspect we're more ignorant than those around us.
This is also something we inherently know.
Which is why we're fascinated by people who share what they're learning
The humility to say "I'm ignorant on this...but I'm trying to change that" in front of others resonants with us.
More people liked it than I had followers at that time.
Me = 🤯
Which is probably why I've bookmarked them in the first place.
