A reminder that Candace Owens first stepped into the limelight by suing racist white bullies who trolled her voicemail in high school with the support of the NAACP—which she now calls “one of the worst groups for Black people”
This was what 18-year-old Candace Owens claimed was her goal in life: “stopping online bullying” with a “searchable database of people who spew hate online”

So she could be “part of a real solution” and “not just another perpetuator of divisive arguments”

Bernie adamantly refused to directly criticize Joe Biden because he and the only advisor he regularly listened to, his wife Jane, personally like him. They even punished surrogates who went hard at him—something they notably failed to do when surrogates attacked Elizabeth Warren.
Sanders actually resisted reaching out to AOC for the endorsement that saved his campaign—assuming he was essentially entitled to it.

While Warren pushed hard for Ocasio’s support, AOC’s team had to prod Sanders even to call her. Imagine if AOC had given the nod to Warren.

I’ve read a bunch of notes on coronavirus from clinicians sharing observed data as well as from attendees at the (quite bleak) UCSF panel on coronavirus. A few key takeaways:

1. If you’re exposed to COVID, you’re likely to see symptoms in about 2-9 days, with median of 5 days.
2. The common symptoms are acute respiratory distress and fever, often high, which may be intermittent but can be persistent and last over 10 days.
3. Breakdown of cases: About 80% of those who contract COVID only get mildly ill; 14% get hospital-ill, 6-8% critically ill. The mortality rate seems to be between 1-3%, but that needs to be adjusted for age. Mortality is 10-15% over 80, and drops lower for younger cohorts.
