1. Facebook is not enforcing its own rules prohibiting ads that promote violence.

This failure may help a Qanon conspiracy theorist become a member of Congress

Sound far-fetched?

Let's review the facts.
2. Marjorie Taylor Greene is running for Congress in Georgia.

She is a supporter of Qanon, a conspiracy group that thinks "Trump is engaged in a shadowy war against a cabal of global elites...and will soon arrest or even execute top Democrats"

Last Thursday, I reported Green began running this ad where she cocks a semi-automatic rifle and delivers a message to “ANTIFA terrorists”

Facebook told me the ad violated its rules and took it down.

But by that time it had already been viewed by 50K people in Georgia.
4. Greene then went on Tucker Carlson to complain about Facebook "censorship."

On Monday, she created an new Facebook ad of her appearance, which included THE FULL VIDEO TAKEN DOWN BY FACEBOOK

This is content Facebook says violates its rules

I reported it again to Facebook
5. Facebook did nothing about this ad on Monday or Tuesday, which was the primary election day.

During that time, the ad reached another 50K people.

So combined, these ads, which violate Facebook's rules, reached 100K Georgians
6. Greene won the primary with 43K votes, and advances to a runoff, where she is now favored to win.

And she's favored to win the general election, because it's a Republican district

Facebook took Greene's second ad down AFTER ELECTION DAY and AFTER GREENE STOPPED RUNNING IT
7. The alarming thing is that even after Facebook was made aware that Greene's was violating its rules it continued to approve them without any human review.

That's the only thing that can explain approving an ad that effectively repeats an ad that was already taken down
8. Greene's Facebook ad isn't solely responsible for her success. But the ad, along with Facebook's failures, helped.

We are saying Facebook facilitate fringe figures seizing power.

And the company seems unwilling to adopt strategies to enforce its own rules.
9. We are likely to have our first Qanon believer in Congress, in part thanks to Facebook

And, if things don't change, this will just be the beginning

I will be reporting on this in my newsletter, Popular Information
