Call me a killjoy if you want but it's kinda hard to be excited about yet another garden-walled video game platform promoting AAA games built from exploitative labor practices after I just got 1,000 games in exchange for donating to social justice charities
Last night I played through this beautiful, touching adventure game about a lonely dairy farmer. It took maybe a couple hours, and I'm still thinking about it the next day. Right now this is more interesting to me than Cyberpunk or whatever. machineboy.itch.io/milkmaid-of-th…
Celeste is in this bundle. CELESTE! Celeste is a better 2D platform game than anything from the genre's golden age, and that includes Mario. mattmakesgames.itch.io/celeste
Sorry I guess some of you didn't know about this bundle, it's incredible! If you're of the "ehhh I don't like playing on the PC" sort maybe get over it. itch.io/b/520/bundle-f…
Just noticed Anodyne in here! Lovely little mini Zelda that haunts your brain and makes you feel weird. Very "Link's Awakening" if that's your thing (and it should be) han-tani.itch.io/anodyne
Oxenfree is also worth looking at. Did you like Firewatch? I kind of think of this as its 2D predecessor, with a similar "how the hell did you write all this???" branching dialogue system night-school-studio.itch.io/oxenfree
Wow this is blowing up no soundcloud but abolish the police
Played through A Short Hike last night and adored everything about it. I always said my favorite genre is "jump around and talk to people" and this is a new favorite example. Thanks to multiple replies for suggesting it! adamgryu.itch.io/a-short-hike
The bundle is nearing SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS, which is incredible! Jump on this if you haven't, there's enough here to explore for years. itch.io/b/520/bundle-f…
Had a great time with Minit, a Zelda-like with a great aesthetic that I played through in maybe an hour and a half. I am a TOTAL SUCKER for Zelda-style games in urban environments, and this one has a hotel AND a factory 😍devolverdigital.itch.io/minit
I mean it man, let me run around in an airport or a mall or whatever in an overhead Zelda game and I'm loyal for life, I don't know why
Spring Falls is a very soothing, low stress puzzle game about watering flowers on a mountain. Like many of the games in this thread, we finished it in one sitting. Recommended by @beakfriends, go check out their thread too! sparsegamedev.itch.io/spring-falls
