When Christ redeemes his people we are brought into a new family. In part, what that means is that our solidarity is not to “our race” or “my people-based on skin color.” Our ultimate identity is hidden in Christ. We die to self and Christ lives in us, & through us.
When we come to faith in Christ all our credentials and or racial pride is dung compared to our union with Christ and the unity we have with our brothers and sisters (of all ethnicities).
This does not mean that we can never be “proud” of Gods providence in creating us with the ethnicity that he gave us. For example, I am “proud” to be a PR 🇵🇷. However, my identity is hidden in Christ, and not in being a PR. I am now a NEW CREATION. The old has passed away!
This is freeing for the Christian because it gives us a message of TRUE, spiritual liberation for the weary sinner, who is in bondage to their sinful nature. That freeing & life giving message is-Kiss the Son (Ps.2). Look to Christ (Isa 45:22)
Come to Christ and He will relive you of the heavy weights of sin you are carrying. (Matt11:28). Confess your sin to a Holy God & repeat. Come to Christ today and He will free you free all your idols, including the idol of skin color. #repent #wokechurch #looktochrist

In the name of caring 4 black & brown lives (because those were (my people)I was a parrot for whatever BLM narrative the media put out. When I look back & see the many ways in which I was deceived a lot of my deception was directly connected to my inability to think critically.👇🏽
I married my biblical & theological categories w/ social science & other worldly philosophical ideas. Rather then letting Gods word ultimately define my terms, I let the world move the goal post.👇🏽
I’m ashamed of that, but God used it to awaken me so that I can combat those ideas that I’m seeing promoted everyday by another once respected Christian celebrity or friend.👇🏽

In a time where there seems to be a famine in the land (our Pulpits & Churches) may we never forget the call of the Man of God. He is commissioned by God to PREACH THE WORD! May we be found faithful.
2 Timothy 4:1-5- "I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

“The letter of the law in the old covenant killed, but this is no reason to suppose that the new covenant of life has nothing to do with the letter of the law; After all, the gospel is a two edged sword which also deals a death blow to those which refuse to believe it,
Plus the numerous commands to believe the gospel. Although the letter of the law always kills sinners and under it there is no hope of cure, The gospel only sometimes kills sinners; whereas under the law man was always guilty, now under the gospel he can be forgiven and empowered
The consequences of despising the gospel, however, are even more dreadful than those of despising the law, for the privileges associated with the gospel or more awesome.

I want to go to Seminary but I just don't see how I could ever afford it. Besides the cost, there are so many loose ends that the Lord will have to work out if am I ever going to go down that route. I know God can do it but I just don't see how. Help my unbelief, Lord.
If I could go to any Seminary I would go to one that would help me grow in my theological convictions of Presbyterianism. I was ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister, but over the years I have come to see to embrace Presbyterianism. Why Seminary?
I think I need the structure of Seminary to help me stay the course in my theological education. Without it, I would be all over the place in my studies, as I have been for the past 5 years...
