@brandongoldber1 If you can't make new arguments on the fly, what's the point of a live "debate"? In set-piece, any novel argument can be validated / falsified with new sources. If you're limited to a pre-defined set of sources, you can't deep dive novel arguments someone makes from those sources
@brandongoldber1 So even "get the sources beforehand", that's better, but still deeply limited b/c you can make an unexpected argument from those sources, which could be validated / falsified with more information - something impossible to do in a live setting.
