cdc.gov/coronavirus/20…
Nationally, levels of influenza-like illness (ILI) and COVID-19-like illness (CLI) continue to decline or remain stable at low levels.
Cumulative COVID-19-associated hospitalization rates since March 1, 2020, are updated weekly. The overall cumulative COVID-19 hospitalization rate is 89.3 per 100,000, with the highest rates in people aged 65 years and older (273.8 per 100,000) and 50-64 years (136.1 per 100,000)
While the number of COVID-19 cases reported to CDC is cumulative and continues to increase, nationally, the proportion of visits to outpatient providers EDs for illnesses with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 continued to decline or remain stable at low levels.
Cumulative hospitalization rates for COVID-19 in adults (18-64 years) at this time are higher than cumulative end-of-season hospitalization rates for influenza over each of the past 5 influenza seasons.
For people 65 years and older, current cumulative COVID-19 hospitalization rates are within ranges of cumulative influenza hospitalization rates observed at comparable time points* during recent influenza seasons.
For children (0-17 years), cumulative COVID-19 hospitalization rates are much lower than cumulative influenza hospitalization rates at comparable time points* during recent influenza seasons.
ILI well below baseline for all age groups.
On a regional level, the percentage of outpatient visits for ILI ranged from 0.4% to 1.1% during week 23. All ten regions are at low levels and below their region-specific baselines.
1.6 of Emergency Room visits for COVID-LIke illness. Well down from peak of 7%.
School age (5 to 17) hospitalizations, cumulative for the year:

COVID (through week 23): 3.1 per 100,000 population

Lab-confirmed influenza (through week 17): 24.8 per 100,000 population
7.3%. Still above epidemic threshold of 6.2%
Pneumonia and influenza down to 5.6%, below epidemic threshold. It's non-pneumonia COVID-deaths keeping us above.
