So here's what happened last night in Star Citizen. We got six people on the Hammerhead and took a contract to bust out some prisoners from a Prison Transport Ship.

We eliminate the two escort ships and prepare to board the Caterpillar; a giant cargo ship whose cargo, in this instance, is cryopods. The prisoners are in suspended animation.
We open the airlock on the front of the Hammerhead, and can see the Prison Ship. A hacker has disabled it, and opened the cargo bay doors for us.

We eliminate a couple of guards and then we leap into space and fly across the gap between the ships, landing on the Prison Ship.
This is where our woes begin. Because no animations could cover every possible way someone in zero g, approaching at any angle or orientation, might "land" on the deck of another ship, some of us arrive on our feet, and some of us ragdoll into the floor.
"Ragdoll" means animations are turned off for a second, and your character flops around in a way that's governed excursively by the physics engines, and the way the "bones" in your character model interact.
Good ragdoll looks natural, looks like human body killed or knocked unconscious, falling to the floor. In this instance, characters jitter and flop around as their bodies become physics objects and interact with the floor of the cargo ship.
As often happens in this game, someone's ragdoll effect clips through a surface and the game concludes that this means they have died. Maybe because of "damage" done to them? Who knows.

But Anna fails to make it onboard the Prison Ship.
Anna spawns back at Everus Harbor and grabs her Cutlass Black and speeds back to the Prison Ship. We wait.

She shows up, exits her ship, joins us in the cargo bay of the Prison Ship and we proceed to clear the guards from the ship. This is very easy, because they have no AI.
They do not move, or shoot back. Well, that's good, because we suck. :D

We now have to figure out WHICH of these prisoners we're trying to spring...and which of them is marked for death by our benefactor.
This involves cross referencing the prisoner manifest with the cargo manifest, names against numbers. As we're doing this, wave after wave of Security Forces arrive, and we have to get back to our ship to fight them off.
At this point, in all the crazy action and bugs, someone shoot's Anna's Cutlass out of the sky. No one knows who did it, the crime will probably go unsolved....
We figure out which Prisoner's to free, and which to eliminate. At this point, we have killed several people and broken several laws, and we all have a high Crimestat.
Here's where things get hairy. Ray notices...people in General Chat...are talking about us.

"Are those Wanted players just partying on a Hammerhead?"
twitch.tv/videos/6495352…
Because we have high Crimestat...the game has issued a bounty on us. And now everyone on the server is watching us, wondering what we're doing....
We gotta get the fuck out and clear our Crimestat before half the players on the server come after us!
We have the tools to clear our Crimestat, we just need to find the right satellite outpost to hack. We set a course for Security Post Kareah in orbit around Cellin, a moon of the planet Crusader and head into Quantum Space.
On the way there, Wes and Tom exit their turrets...and fall through the geometry of the ship. >.<
They are now floating in space, and we have to stop, turn around, and grab them before the other players can find us and hunt us down.
The only way to pinpoint where they are, is for them to create a Service Beacon marking their location. A beacon everyone in the game can see. It's now a race. Who can get to Tom and Wes first?
Anna, who someone accidentally might have blown up, joins the race in her Cutlass Black. She speeds toward Tom, while we try to grab Wes.
We find Wes and drop out of Quantum. While he flies toward our Hammerhead...the posse arrives. "There's a gang of bad people here...."

Normally, six players on a Hammerhead would be as very tough nut to crack...but half our crew is in dead or in space. So we have two turrets and one pilot and this is not enough to stop the players who have come to collect on our bounty.
We lose the Hammerhead, and wake up in Prison. I have 12 hours on my sentence.

The end!
