You Don't Have All Eternity To Achieve Your Dreams

Jesus lived for only 33 years. Out of the 33 years, He spent 30 years in the carpenter's shed and 3 years as an itinerant preacher. Jesus never went beyond 200 miles from His home. It was 3 years packed with activities.

By the time He left, His footprints were indelibly imprinted on the sands of time. Jesus virtually rewrote history. He was of so much great significance that even time periods are described as either BC (BeforeChrist) or AD (AftertheDeathofChrist).

Your life should be measured not by it's duration but by its donation. Life should be gauged by not how long lived but by how well lived.

Some people's lives are like Solomon Grundy.

Born on a Monday,
Christened on Tuesday,
Married on Wednesday,
Took ill on Thursday,
Grew worse on Friday,
Died on Saturday,
Buried on Sunday.
That was the end of Solomon Grundy.*
It was a plain life plainly lived

Bruce Lee died at 32 but he changed the face of martial arts. Bob Marley died at 36 but reggae would never be the same again after him. Diana, the Princess of Wales died at 36 but she redefined royalty with a touch of simplicity.

Martin Luther King Jr. died at 39 but his 'I have a dream' speech will resonate for eternity. Jimi Hendrix died at 27 but nobody played the electric guitar like him.

Eva Peron died at 33 but the film 'Evita' including the musical 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina' are testaments to the impact of her life.

Aaliyah died at 22 but she sold 52 million records worldwide before her death and is listed by Billboard as the tenth most successful female R&B artist of the past 25 years and 27th most successful R&B artist in history.

Alexander the Great died at 32 yet he is considered as one of history's most successful military commanders and was never defeated in battle.

Our wish is to live long but reality is that no matter how long you live, life is short. Everyone in life has a limitation of time.

Get a sense of urgency about life because you don't have forever. You don't have forever to write that book you have always been postponing. You don't have forever to sing that song in your heart. You don't have forever to live your dreams. Get down to it with a sense of urgency

Someone said the richest place in the world are not the oilfields of Saudi Arabia or the diamond mines of South Africa. The richest place in the world is the cemetery where unfulfilled hopes and dreams are buried.

Leo Tolstoy said " There is only one time that is important- now! It is the most important time because it is the only time we have any power over".
Without a sense of urgency, you will drift into complacency, mediocrity and failure.

Mary Kay Ash said, " Most people live and die with their music still unplaced".
A lot of people have ideas but very few people decide to do something about them. The true achiever is a doer and not a dreamer.

All the ministry of Jesus was packed into 3 and a half years. You don't need a second term to finish all your programmes. In a manner of speaking, Jesus was impeached before He completed His first term. What will happen if life decides to impeach you now?

Make your life count; don't just count the years. Some are counting the years wile some make their lives count. What are you doing?
