Compared to China India has almost 0 leverage with most of its neighbors as its investments are insubstantial compared to China & has a poor track record of executing projects. Neither does India specialize in infrastructure development nor does it have a surplus like China 2/n
The Modi Government and the war mongering Indian media have stupidly squandered whatever goodwill India had accumulated with its neighbors. Only on Netflix & newsrooms can India carry out cross border strikes or regime change which gullible Indian public has lapped up 3/n
Through sheer incompetence India has succeeded in pushing all of its neighbors into the arms of China. Whatever value Obama’s America saw in making India its pivot to Asia was because of India’s equations with its neighbours 4/n

Utter stupidity has led India to fracturing the unity of the developing countries bloc wherein India & China were aligned on a number of issues in WTO & more importantly climate change. While India has literally received nothing from America, 6/n
