Now @jk_rowling, other anti-trans activists, and even Justice Samuel Alito tell me that, as a rape survivor, I'm triggered by seeing, or by the very thought of seeing, a penis in a locker room. (I've never had occasion to see anyone's genitals in a women's room.) #NotInMyName 2/n

And @jk_rowling adds, channeling Trump's rhetoric, "[h]uge numbers of women are justifiably terrified by trans activists." HUGE numbers. #NotInMyName 3/n

She says, w/no evidence, that women terrified by trans activists "are in the vast majority and exclude only those privileged or lucky enough never to have come up against male violence or sexual assault, and who've never troubled to educate themselves on how prevalent it is." 4/n

I'm a radical feminist myself & a critic of prevailing gender norms, but I don't think anyone born with a penis is, by nature, a threat. I'm not triggered by my husband's anatomy—and wasn't by that of my young son. #NotInMyName 5/n

I survived a rape and attempted murder by a man, wrote a book about it, study male sexual violence against women, and teach courses on the subject. I will not allow anyone to say I'm terrified by trans activists or triggered by the very thought of seeing a penis. #NotInMyName 6/n
