A few days ago, Franklin Graham falsely described the slain officer as "responding to one of the recent violent protests in Oakland, CA." Per the FBI, he was surveilled and ambushed by the boogaloo shooter inside his guard post at a federal building.
The charging docs describe how the shooter and his accomplice lay in wait in a parking lot across the street from the guard post for 15 minutes beforehand, and include surveillance camera stills at the time of the shooting. The streets are largely empty; no protest is visible. 
CBS News has also falsely described the slain officer as "on police duty for protests in Oakland." He and his colleague, who were seriously wounded, were manning a guard post at a federal building entrance--a duty not linked to the protests.

Jim Jordan and House Rs blamed "the rioters in Oakland" for the slain officer's murder. As alleged, the murderer is an Air Force sergeant linked to the right-wing Boogaloo movement who drove in from Travis AFB to commit the crime at a quiet intersection.
