The COVID-19 pandemic is proving to be the ultimate test of leadership. How can executives in Latin America lead well in this challenging time?

Join us LIVE for our first #BRAVObiz Leadership Conversation with the OECD's @A_Gurría. bit.ly/2zIR6mx Image
Follow the #BRAVObiz conversation between the OECD's @A_Gurria and @s_segal LIVE now: twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…
@A_Gurria @s_segal "Whatever idea we have about a post-COVID world …

We’re going to have to build it. It’s not going to happen by itself."

@A_Gurria #BRAVObiz
Economic unrest begets social unrest, says @A_Gurria.

"People are pissed off. They are not happy with the status quo. Trade tensions cause uncertainty. Uncertainty is the enemy of investment. Investment is the seed of tomorrow’s growth. … It puts democracy at risk."

#BRAVObiz Image
. @A_Gurria mentions the OECD's coronavirus hub: oecd.org/coronavirus/en/

Included here: over 100 policy briefs, a policy tracker, and papers on everything from health policy to education to tax law and more. #BRAVObiz
Brazil isn’t waiting to become an OECD member to join the conversation and participate.

"They’re family now," says @A_Gurria. "They're the second cousins who are just moving into the kitchen. … That is extremely, extremely smart."

Watch #BRAVObiz LIVE: twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…
"Latin America isn't the poorest region in the world, but it’s the most unequal. What we’re seeing is a widening of this chasm that exists, which is ethically and morally wrong. It’s economically dysfunctional, politically explosive, and very dangerous."

@A_Gurria at #BRAVObiz Image
Former Panamanian VP @IsabelStMalo asks @A_Gurria about inclusion and governance:

How do we create jobs and change the equation as we look to build back? Should we be building bicycle lanes instead of roads?

Watch his response at #BRAVObiz LIVE: twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1… ImageImage
Other questions for the OECD's @A_Gurria coming in from executives at Bank of America, Greenberg Traurig, and Cargill.

Want to be a part of the discussion? Consider becoming a COA member today. as-coa.org/memberships/co…
Leaders — for money, political, moral, ethical reasons — have to tax the largest companies in the world. This is an absolutely irrevocable political imperative.

At the same time, they’re told that if they do, they’re going to be hit with trade sanctions.

@A_Gurria #BRAVObiz
"Many of these countries are not very worried about ratings. This is not what keeps them awake at night. The problem is inflow and outflow and the net."

Watch the OECD's @A_Gurria discuss for #BRAVObiz: twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…
. @A_Gurria's parting piece of advice:

"Cooperation, cooperation, cooperation. … It’s about mutually reinforcing measures, exchange of experiences—including exchange of efforts to have a vaccine."

#BRAVObiz
And that wraps up our inaugural #BRAVObiz Leadership Conversation!

Many thanks to all our sponsors, participants, and especially @A_Gurria of the OECD.

The video of today's discussion will be available here shortly: as-coa.org/events/bravo-l…
@A_Gurria Our next #BRAVObiz Leadership Conversation will be on July 9 with @Softtek President and CEO Blanca Treviño.
