An executive order by Gov. JB Pritzker of Illinois, currently in effect, states: "Any gathering of more than ten people is prohibited"

Here’s the scene in Chicago
Would estimate this crowd is about 75% white, which is pretty interesting for a Juneteenth rally/protest in Chicago
Here is Gov. Pritzker violating his own executive order earlier today. Theoretically he could be prosecuted. Feel free to look up the order yourself: Executive Order 2020-38, signed May 29, prohibiting gatherings of more than 10 people in Illinois
Kind of enjoy when people have very straightforward, simple, reasonable policy demands without the hyper-emotional rhetorical flourishes
Seems like these marches always inevitably turn into trans marches
Walking worship pose
Maybe I’m hearing things, but the chants at these protests always sound heavily female-dominated to me
Whites are charged with the responsibility to “put their bodies on the line” to defend POC, which means staring down police
Guy says the hat is not intended to be ironic
Again, chants always seem heavily female-dominated. Racialized transmogrification of the Women’s March
I think the whole “Black Trans Lives” thing is a proxy for adding gender nonconformity as another “identity” covered by this avowedly “intersectional” protest movement
Whenever I tweet from one of these protests, countless people (including journalists) absolutely lose their minds. I know having a little bit of critical distance from a protest movement is now an alien concept for so many journalists, but maybe you should try it out sometime 🤔
