The enormous gap between what “Black politics” means to the kids running these massive marches worldwide and what it means to the corporate Dems can be measured in how Biden’s VP shortlist includes Kamala Harris, a former prosecutor, and Val Demmings, a former police chief 🤔
They really think they can put forward someone who will check off “identity politics,” as if these disaffected ppl bringing MILLIONS into the streets don’t know the real, coalitional, Combahee coined identity politics which is demanding defunding police & prison abolition!
They’re going for the narrow, “we want just the RIGHT amount of Black!” imagined swing electorate (which consists of 17 or 18 ppl in Ohio) when they could tap the tens of millions who don’t/can’t vote bc the Dems give them nothing to vote for (but who are out in these streets)
If I could attach one of those Twitter voice tweets I’ve been hearing about to this tweet, it would be me singing “Black cops! Black cops! Whatcha gonna do? How you can gonna vote when they come for you?” to the (cancelled) COPS TV theme song
