In 1971, a commuter service was
planned for Darwin. DH5 & DH6 back to 3' 6".
Didn't proceed, railcar driveshafts removed & used as aircon cars on the mixed trains on the NAR until closure.

NDH3 was converted to std gauge and back to narrow gauge twice! Condemned 1977, first to Homestead Park, Port Augusta and eventually to Pichi Richi Railway Quorn.
