mainly Quorn <> Hawker weekly service
No.1 became known locally as ' Coffee Pot '

No.2 was allocated to the South Eastern system between Naracoorte <> Kingston

In 1921 SMC1 was sold to Comm Railways classed as
NJAB 1.
It continued to operate out of Quorn until stored c. 1932. In 1960 sent to Alice Springs for display.

In 1975 SMC1 was returned to Quorn for restoration to working order by PRRPS. Returned to operational service 1984. Worlds only working example of such a steam motor coach.
