1/ What is going on in Texas?

Here is a paper from the UK healthcare system that gives us a clue.

They found a 2% infection based on PCR (23/1152), but only 1 with positive viral culture. These "positives" are artifact infections, not infectious.

2/ If admission requires a PCR, are these admissions "with COVID" or "from COVID"?

"Based upon the interpretation of symptom history and testing results including viral culture, the majority of those testing positive were unlikely to be infectious at time of sampling."
3/ New admissions are younger and don't require ICU beds (June 11). This suggests a variability in infected population we haven't seen before.
