A look at contemporary Russian kit at the VIctory Day rehearsals and parades. Yesterday was tanks (bit.ly/3fSeJIS), today - IFVs. Imagery courtesy of @RecoMonkey Image
BMP-2M with B05Ya01 Berezhok turret. Gun upgraded with digital stabilisation, addition of 2x Kornet-E and addition of an AG-30 30mm AGL at rear. New Sozh panoramic sight, understood to be same as on BMD-4M. Enhanced comms. ImageImage
BMP-3. Pretty vanilla configuration, usual 2K23 turret w/ 100mm 2A70 gun, coaxial(!) 2A72 30 mm cannon and 7.62mm PKT machine gun, though is sporting a larger commander's sight than typical older configuration ImageImage
BMD-4M with Bakhcha-U turret mounting 100 mm 2A70 gun, 30 mm 2A72 coax, and 7.62 mm PKT. Lighter/smaller than BMP-3 used for airborne forces, incl airdrops of the vehicle. ImageImage
B-11 object 695 Kurganets-25 with Epokha turret. Includes 57mm gun, 7.62mm coax, 2 kinds of ATGM (Bulat and Kornet) and hard kill APS, in an unmanned design. Amphibious. ImageImage
T-15 Armata with Kinzhal turret, mounting a 57 mm gun and Ataka ATGM. Previous years T-15 mounted the Bumerang-BM turret as seen on the K-17 this year. ImageImage
BTR-82AT, the AT referencing a BTR-82A with mounting points for bar armour protection. Fitted with the BPPU-1 turret which was also seen on the BMP-1AM 'Basurmanin' at last year's Armiya, mounts a 2A72 30mm cannon and 7.62mm PKT coax. ImageImage
BMP-K K-17 VPK-7829 Bumerang. Note the turret is the Bumerang-BM not Epokha, despite is beign erroneously referred to as Epokha for considerable time. Epokha is the 57mm armed (and many other differences) on B-11, above. ImageImage
Typhoon K-4386 / KAMAZ-4386 Typhoon-VDV with 32V01 RCWS. Not an IFV per-se, but it has an IFV-class armament and can carry troops, so its in the murky borderline of classification. A good demonstration of how unmanned turrets are blurring classifications and capability boundaries ImageImage
Tomorrow is the main event, so some new angles will emerge. I'll profile some indirect fire vehicles in tomorrow's thread. Note that there are a fair few in-service IFV platforms not present at the parade, so this is not a complete showing of capabilities.
