#Safoora_Zargar a pregnant a Student activist leader of Jamia Millia Islamia, best known for her role in the Citizenship Amendment Act protests. She was booked under UAPA for inciting riots and was denied bail earlier.
Her die heart supporters were angry and felt judiciary has failed because law denied bail to a pregnant woman. The question arises why were they only protesting for #Safoora_Zargar. Is she the only pregnant lady in the HISTORY of INDIA to be JAILED?
#Safoora_Zargar was arrested on April 2020 on conspiracy charges over the riots that broke out in February during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and under an anti-terror law in a case related to the Delhi violence.
Below is the link to the Women in Prison under Ministry of Women and Child Development…

The calorie intake & variety of food is to be increased for prisoners who are pregnant & need more protein and minerals than usual. Such women are meant to receive additional milk, sugar, vegetables, fish/meat, curd, fresh fruit etc. as per the Prison Manual.
The Hon’ble Supreme Court issued guidelines in 2006 that before sending a pregnant woman to jail, the concerned authorities must ensure that the jail has the basic minimum facilities for child delivery, pre-natal and postnatal care.
Pregnant and lactating women are to be provided with a better diet as well as facilities to boil water and milk. Gynaecological examinations of prisoners are to be
performed in District Government Hospitals.

In case of pregnant prisoners, the provisions of the National Model Prison Manual must be followed strictly to make arrangements for temporary release for delivery of
children in a hospital outside the prison.
Why is she released now???

Pregnant and lactating women should be provided with special diet as per the National Prison Manual.

As a strong argument, the police said 39 deliveries had taken place in Delhi prisons in the last 10 years

What about childbirth?

The child born to pregnant woman in jail shall be registered at the local birth registration office. The fact that the child has been born in prison shall not be recorded as the place of birth to face social stigma.
Is #SafooraZargar the only pregnant women in Jail?
NO. There are approx 4 lac persons in jail in India, of which, approx 18K are women and of these 18k women, many would be pregnant too.

Where was the cry for Humanitarian ground for all of these?

As per Prison Statistics India 2015, NCRB, from the end of 2015, there are 4,19,623 persons in jail in India. Women constitute 4.3% of this figure, numbering a total of 17,834 women. Of these, 66.8% (11,916) are undertrial prisoners.
Liberals they are not crying because a pregnant woman was sent to jail on allegations of inciting riots. They are crying because they cried for Tahir Hussain and Afzal Guru Yakub Memon and the Mathematician Riyaaz Naikoo

@RanaAyyub writes on the Washington post a long article in favour and injustice to #Safoora_Zargar and does not even bother to comment on the #ajaybharti who was killed by the Terrorist? Why?

People are celebrating her bail and tweeting" More power to Safoora" who has instigated riots in Delhi and because of her hate speech many innocent like Ankit Sharma lost their lives.
@RanaAyyub will dare not say anything for them.
On Monday, the Delhi Police had opposed Ms Zargar's bail plea saying "the severity of her offence is in no manner mitigated by the fact of her pregnancy."
The Delhi Police, in its status report opposing her bail, said a "clear and cogent case" had been made out against her and she was accused of "grave and serious offences meticulously and surreptitiously planned and executed by her.

Zargar was granted bail in the case after she was initially arrested. But later she was arrested again and more serious charges were imposed on her. She was accused of inciting people and bringing women and children to the streets in Jafrabad to cause riots
The question remains the same why is she an exception and despite of she being so inhumane, why is she granted bail on Humanitarian grounds?
She was not the first women who was pregnant in Jail, there are several with less offensive crimes but why was she released
