The Fayette County Clerk appears to have not planned this out the same way.

The biggest line in Louisville where people are voting today is at the food truck outside. Steady stream of voters continuing with virtually no waiting in lines. #kysen

At five people, this is now the longest line of voters I’ve seen all day in Louisville (besides the food truck)
Kentucky secretary state just estimated that 1.1 million Kentuckians will cast a vote in this primary, smashing Kentucky's all-time primary record of 922,456 votes in 2008. That would be at roughly the same turnout rate of 32%.
I’m told that a couple hours ago 560k mail-in absentees had been received and they’re expecting ~240k more by end of week, 105k had voted today and estimated 150k by end of day, & >100k voted early in person. Those estimates would come out to ~1.05 million Kentucky primary votes.
There is 6pm cutoff drama in Jefferson County for what constitutes being in line.
County Clerk’s office says you have to be inside the Expo Center at 6 to be in line, after which time they will lock the doors.
Booker campaign is looking to extend that to people waiting in line in cars outside.
Right as we heard that Booker is seeking an injunction, I overheard a sheriff and spokesman for clerk’s office talking and heard “cut off Crittenden.” That’s where one of gates to fairgrounds is.
The rush to get inside before 6pm:
They’re running.
They’re still letting people in through one open door.
The people that didn’t make it inside in time before the last door was closed at 6:03.

Looks like over 50 people outside upset that they weren’t allowed in to vote. The last door was locked up at about 6:03.

Clerk spox Nore Ghibaudy says they’re open until 6:30 now due to judge’s injunction.
Judge ruled that anyone on the pavement outside the door was in line and could vote.
